  1. I watched “the martian ” on a plane yesterday. Apart from the usual leftist memes of multiculturalism , globalism , equal opportunities , the primacy of science and technology , i found myself thinking “There are so many reasons for them to want us to believe in Aliens “. Apart from the religious angle , there was the implication that if we can fly there , someone else can fly here , so perhaps we need big central corporation/ govt to protect us.
After a while though i found myself viewing it through the prism of internal metaphor . A heavy 1970s emphasis ran theoughout the film in terms of music and culture , disco , priscilla , queen of the outback , starman etc . . Uncovering the old technology in terms of the old mars rover was a powerful image . I got the feeling that venturing into “space” solo is an undesirable state and should not be attempted without the assistance and protection of ” the team ” , that it would most likely end in insanity and death . There were multiple layers of management and public relations which only began to contemplate ” rescue” once it was deemed to be in their interests . The only desirable outcome is to return ” to earth ” and then teach other budding psycho/ astronauts that to venture there means to be forced to eat ones own shit and then die alone ” it will all go to hell at some point “.

  2. One more thing about “the martian “. It seems to be an evocation of “the hanged man ” of the Tarot .
In theory it should be possible to make a film which evokes certain archetypal energies in the collective unconscious of the massed viewers . In theory it should be possible for canny and possiibly unscrupulous operators to direct those forces perhaps for their own ends . Heres what i know about the hanged man . From Greers “paths of wisdom ” and other sources
    Mem – Hanged Man ..

    The Martyr

    Water
    El , Al

The Spirit of The mighty waters

    The stable intelligence

    Myth- self sacrifice

An arch of pure deep blue

Images of water in its various forms . Ocean . Travel through underwater caves. Drowned people, lost cities , Atlantis .
    Sunken ships

    Entitiies
Water elementals , underwater phantoms , the drowned giant .

    Deep blue
    Sea green
    Deep olive green
    White , flecked purple .

    Redemption
Overcoming limitations of intellect to become a vessel for will .
    Similarities with Nun
    Stability
No interaction with Tiphareth , these are static forces
    Water
    The sea in calm weather
    Becalmed
Suspension of thought , intellect disciplined by will
Opposite to the ever moving will
    Meditation in its lower form
    Enlightenment in its higher
    ( above the abyss)
Concert with Hiero ( wheel/ chariot)
    Constancy ( Constantine ?)??
    ( tristan ludlow) ??
    Self sacrifice
Drowned Giant – higher self who sleeps in the deeps , seen dimly
Contact with him . Listen !

  3. I often wonder why it has taken them so long to make the second “avatar ” film . I get the feeling that the energies evoked on that occasion caught the magicians by surprise and perhaps they found it too vast and spontaneous an outpouring , and perhaps inimical to what they desire at present ..

  4. Thanks Nessia that’s a mind bender . All to control the banana munching pond scum of this little galaxy . I bet these engineers must just feel like a cup of tea and a good lie down sometimes . What do they do to relax ??

  5. From reading that article i get the impression that MI5 agents like Crowley have been commissioned to set up occult symbol systems( widely disemminated ) to catch anyone who might try to directly approach archetypal forces that exist between our own psyches and the planet itself .. Streiber and Phillip Dick , Doris Lessing all ended up caught in this net , more or less , with beings making suggestions to them .
I have spent ten years daily contemplating rider waite tarot symbols as well as golden dawn pentagram and hexagram symbols combined with jungian analysis and the result has been that i have ended up on jasun horsleys blog speculating about aliens and mind control with a bunch of mostly quiet and polite people . Not a bad fate i reckon . The rest of my life is pretty calm and normal , no drug use combined with occult practices . I only ever set out to learn more about myself and to release some early life trauma and thats pretty much what has happened . Without the analysis and someone trained watching over me the result could have been quite different i feel .
Perhaps i am just a dud magician who has failed to penetrate very far beyond the symbol matrix ??
I’ve never tried to blast myself in there , mind you .
Stayed clear of enochian and crowleyan systems , though am wondering wether the tarot and golden dawn systems have been ” seeded “

    • Thank you, kutamun, I was about to say, these control systems (which religions are) seem to boil down to a ‘lack of mercy’ — but just now Jasun beat me to it at his blog. Nuns can be cruel (all that sexual frustration) and they can be kind, as my Roman Catholic mother used to tell me –but only little boys ever seem to want to crawl under their habits and experience that fascinating inner void. After that trauma, space travel seems so attractive but there are limits to how far outward our minds can explore and not explode.

I don’t really know, but lately get the feeling that a couple of generations were inducted into a magical system in the post war, via the military — that attempted to brainwash us — and just about every traumatic event (and public spectacle) of the last few decades has been part of that entrainment. There was no escaping it.

Didnt Jung say the 20th century was all about realizing the 4th function, which he equated with Satan or Lucifer? Whether you refused (“I’m ‘with Christ”’) and hung onto your fundamentalist fact-sheet, or whether you went along with the big show, you still got indoctrinated into the occult via pop culture, Freemasonry and the rest of it. We’re now at the point of becoming aware of how all this happened, and what all the teachings were really about.

Thank you all, and thank you Jasun.

  6. Is all the space exploration “porn” designed to keep people outwardly focused for the production of new information, out of fear if people focus inwardly, on themselves;; they will become un-useful to the control system and possibly a threat to it?

BTW- Ive heard people say the daytime sky on Mars is black like the moons because its atmosphere is so thin?

If you take NASA’s numbers that the surface pressure on Mars is the equivalent of Earths at 100.000 feet, then it only gets lower as you rise from the surface. Maybe the sexy pictures from all the Mars lander/rovers (including the skies) only look like Death Valley because thats where they were taken?

Also, For the last Mars rover that used the “skycrane technique (which crashed after release); why didn’t they send the rover over to photograph the debris?

Wouldn’t a nice fresh big crater caused by the crash reveal more information about Martian geography than the rovers weak puny scoop arm and that drill the size of a pencil?

  7. Have you read this 3-part analysis of “Eyes Wide Shut”? Certainly seems to be relevant to the last part of your discussion. I don’t follow your Kubrick board, so I don’t know if it’s already been discussed there.

  8. I haven’t read the Vig Citizen piece tho I was aware it exists. Could you quote any relevant passages?

Ditto the Gorightly one, which I did not know exists and really want to make time to read, since it’s seems like a good foundation for a future talk with Adam. As a general request, if people want to post links to pieces you think I might enjoy, please include a pertinent passage or two, as I barely have time currently to look at all the links coming my way. Thanks.

    • It’s difficult because most of it is frame-by-frame analysis of the movies’s imagery and symbols. How about this (from the Conclusion)?

Kubrick told the story of a society that is completely debased and corrupted by hidden forces, where humanity’s most primal urge–procreation–has been cheapened, fetishized, perverted, and exploited to a point that it has lost all of its beauty. At the top of this world is a secret society that revels in this context, and thrives on it. Kubrick’s outlook on the issue was definitely not idealistic nor very optimistic.

      And also this:

Bill cannot be complete if he is not at peace with the opposite of him: the feminine principle. Bill’s quest, therefore, follows the esoteric principle of uniting two opposite forces into one. As suggested by the last lines of the movie, Bill will ultimately “be one” and get physical with his wife. After that, the alchemical process and the Tantric ritual would be complete. However, as Kubrick somehow communicates in the final scene, even if these two extremely self-absorbed, egoistical and superficial people believe they’ve reached a some kind of epiphany, what does it really change? Our civilization as a whole still has its eyes wide shut … and those were Kubrick’s last cinematographic words.

      • Ah; I was hoping for something that factored in how bad the movie is. This seems more of the same to me, presenting it as a sociopolitical expose by an artist.

        • Well, the author does admit to hating the movie on first watch… If you don’t want to read the whole thing, just check out the stills/captions.. maybe you’ll find them of interest.

    • The Adam Gorightly article is hard to summarize – it goes on way too long, and covers too much ground although it wraps itself up at the end quite nicely by bringing L. Ron Hubbard and Dr. Ewen Cameron together as two diametrically opposed mind controllers. But Hubbard was Office of Naval Intelligence while Cameron was Air Force – so how opposed were they really? A scientologist told me that Hubbard invented Scientology to counter MKULTRA mind control with which he was intimately acquainted.

Maybe the thing to keep in mind is that after WW2 our military were already embedded everywhere, in media, politics, medicine, education, aerospace and they weren’t going anywhere. Allen Dulles said the next theatre of warfare was the human mind. The new battlefielld was peacetime, and the stakes (as they imagined them) were high — control of the planet and its solar system. They weren’t going to sit around twiddling their thumbs while the Russians and Chinese developed psychic warriors.

And children were the future, as well as the most programmable human assets. You had to get them young — via television, music, movies. The US military, via Hollywood, amalgamated with the entertainment world, and actors like Ronald Reagan were recruited into the early MKULTRA programming at bases like China Lake, which was one of the most horrific, and where they pushed the “alien agenda” —

I’m told the Russians did not trauma-program their ‘gifted children,’ at least not to the extent that the western military psychiatrists and doctors did.

      • Certainly, Scientology was only formally established as a “Church” in 1954, one year after MK-Ultra, but it had been “in the works” several years already (I imagine that 1953 was a watershed year because the Dulles brothers both assumed greater power under the Eisenhower presidency). I very much doubt that Hubbard was a thorn in the side of the Anglo-American Establishment in the way, that, say, Lyndon LaRouche has been (not that I am in 100% agreement with LaRouche’s views).

I would treat Adam Gorightly’s work with some care: on the evidence of his book on Kerry Thornley, he seems to be, at best, insufficiently rigorous and critical.

  9. The Nine and Major Tom have nagged me in the back of my head ever since reading that Rigorous Intuition Blog post which seems like yesterday but must have been a few years back. No doubt The Nine has been suspiciously ensconced into our culture and I realize the Department of Social Engineering has a blank check but c’mon, not everybody and their brother can be on its payroll.

  11. I doubt The Nine gave book recommendations and sounds more like an agenda but heck if I know

“In 1952, Puharich had brought into his laboratory an Indian mystic named Dr. D. G. Vinod, who began to channel The Nine or “the Nine Principles,” who would also often recommend the books of Blavatsky and Alice Bailey.”

but I will concede this may explain all need to know

“Temple’s The Sirius Mystery attracted the attention of the CIA, MI5 and the Freemasons. Temple was approached by Charles E. Webber, 33rd degree Scottish Rite and an old friend of his family and Mason, who had been high-ranking generations for generations, and asked him to join the Masons, in order to be able to discuss the book without divulging the order’s secrets. Webber told Temple ” We are very interested in your book The Sirius Mystery. We realize you have written this book without any knowledge of the traditions of Masonry, and you may not be aware of this, but you have made some discoveries which relate to the most central traditions at a high level, including some things that none of us ever knew.” http://www.conspiracyschool.com/blog/project-stargate-ancient-aliens-and-cia
