The Ghost of Peter Sellers (Liminal Radio)

This week on Liminal Radio I discussed Peter Sellers’ best and least known film role, as a hungry ghost in Hoffman (1970), trauma, charismatic alters, lost souls in celluloid bardo realms, and how evil is the expression of the suffering of an inability to love.

Synopsis of Hoffman here.

  1. Celluloid as proof of life. Sellers was a character actor without a character of his own. Don’t think I ever saw this movie.
Birth is traumatic, then you have to be subject to imperfect parents.
    One outcome: Peter Sellers.
I’d like to read the book.
    Thank you Jasun

  2. Uhm…the character of Clouseau was developed in prior, cheaper, post-war film productions that eventuated in his later more famous and better paid appearances and was said to be based on one of his ineptly bi-lingual and highly incompetent early film directors.
